Handmade quilt for sale, made in Bragg Creek, Alberta, Canada.

Personal delivery may be available to Calgary, Cochrane, Canmore or Banff areas.

The quilt block used in this quilt is called a Churn Dash, and is a very old 9 patch quilt block pattern, originating between 1800 and 1849.

Its name is a result of the resemblance of the triangle and rectangle perimeter of the block to a butter churn and the center square to the stick (or dash) of the butter churn.

The fabrics are all coordinating multicolors, green, brown, yellow and red floral fabrics.

The outer binding fabric and the 5.5" border are the same brown fabric that is used in some of the blocks.

The inside layer is Hobbs 80/20 Cotton/Polyester blend batting.

The backing fabric is a dark grey almost a brown with a white floral print all over.

It was quilted with and all over or edge to edge design called Flowering Plum with white thread top and bobbin.

Quilt measures approximately 72.5x83.5"
