This illusion quilt is made using 10 different Batik fabrics in Beige, yellow, orange, red and blue.
Batiks are a hand dyed fabics, each fabric is stamped with intricate wax resist designs and cured in the sunshine.
It was made using 2.5" strips that were sewn together in sets of 20, then cut into strips from 1" to 2.5" then shifted and resewn to form these diamond illusions.  Then surrounded by a dark blue outer border and the binding.  
There is 2400 pieces in this quilt.
The inside layer is Hobbs 80/20 Cotton/Polyester blend batting.
For the quilting every single piece has stitching from one corner to the opposite corner in the cordinating thread color.
The backing is a bright blue fabric with blue stitches.
This quilt measures approximately 60x80".
